Goldstein's Smoked Cod's Roe (approx 250-300g)
Smoked Cod's Roe has a strong smoky and slightly salty flavour. It is smoked at a higher temperature than smoked salmon, thus giving it a smooth texture that is delicious spread on toast or crackers. We take only perfect quality cod roe, salt it and smoke it with care for just the right time. Slice it thinly and briefly fry it to make a delicious treat, or squeeze out the core of the roe and make traditional taramasalata by blitzing with lemon juice and oil

As fine a smoked cod roe as I recall from the days it was regularly served as a first course in The Rag. Since then a firm favourite but quality roe is not always easily available locally. Thank you for making this delicacy available by post.
